According to Omdia analyst Hiroshi Hayase, Nintendo is set to release a new gaming console with an 8-inch LCD screen this year, leading to a projected increase in shipments of "amusement displays." The Game Developers Conference survey also revealed that 8% of developers are working on the successor to the Nintendo Switch, with 32% expressing the most interest in the new platform.
