Square Enix and Capcom Explore Remastering and Reviving Classic Titles
Square Enix is considering remastering more old titles following the success of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. The company's board revealed that they are exploring various ideas within the company and hope to make forthcoming announcements. They also addressed the longer gaps between game releases, stating that strengthening their internal development organization will benefit the development of major titles and new IPs. Square Enix has already released several games in 2023 and has upcoming releases planned, including the next entry in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy.
