"Patriots penalized for violating OTA rules, Belichick fined"
The New England Patriots were docked two practices during organized team activities and head coach Bill Belichick was fined $50,000 due to a rules violation from earlier this offseason. The violation had nothing to do with on-field activity, but rather the posting of a schedule of voluntary special teams office hours that could have given off the impression that the office hours were mandatory. The Patriots self-reported the violation and cooperated with the NFL after realizing they potentially broke a rule.
