"Las Vegas Officer Commits Suicide Following Arrest"
A Las Vegas Metro police officer, Jake Freeman, died by suicide from a gunshot wound on December 31, the same day he was arrested on charges of aggravated stalking, attempted home invasion, and property destruction. The arrest followed a disturbance call where Freeman was allegedly banging on a door, demanding to know the whereabouts of an individual he had been messaging. His behavior reportedly began in October and included an incident where he placed his handgun in the person's lap.
