
Porsche Taycan Sets New Nurburgring Record, Outpaces Tesla Model S Plaid
Porsche's upcoming Taycan, expected to be named Turbo GT, has set a new Nurburgring lap record for electric sedans with a time of 7:07.55, beating the Tesla Model S Plaid by 18 seconds and coming close to the Rimac Nevera's time. The Taycan Turbo GT is anticipated to have around 1,000 hp and features improvements in chassis and aerodynamics. A full video of the lap and the official launch of the new model are expected in mid-March.
