Religious Clashes Claim Lives in Haryana's Nuh District
At least five people, including two police personnel, were killed in clashes between Hindus and Muslims that erupted in Nuh, a region south of New Delhi. The violence began after a Hindu religious procession passed through the Muslim-dominated area. The clashes spread to Gurugram, where a mosque was torched, resulting in the death of a cleric. Prohibitory orders have been issued, schools and colleges closed, and security tightened in the affected areas. The local administration is investigating the cause of the standoff.
