Disneyland hazmat scare prompts hospitalizations of seven cast members
Seven Disneyland Resort cast members were hospitalized with breathing difficulties after a hazmat incident backstage near Star Tours and Space Mountain, likely triggered by contractor materials reacting to air. Disneyland briefly closed part of Tomorrowland while crews investigated; Space Mountain and Star Traders were evacuated and later reopened by about 3 p.m. Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to the unknown odor; several other staff were treated on-site and released, and no guests reported symptoms.
