"Revolutionary Haptic Suits Allow Deaf Individuals to Experience Live Music"
Music: Not Impossible, an off-shoot of Not Impossible Labs, has developed haptic suits to enhance the live music experience for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The suits, equipped with vibrating plates, provide different textures of sensations on the skin, complementing the music being played. At a recent event called "Silent Disco: An Evening of Access Magic" at Lincoln Center, attendees could borrow the haptic suits and experience the immersive vibrations. The event also featured other accessibility measures such as ASL interpreters, captioned music, and a chill-out space.
