Investigation Launched into Inmate Homicide at California State Prison
Authorities are investigating the death of Ricardo Saldivar, a 25-year-old inmate at North Kern State Prison in California. Saldivar was found unresponsive in his cell during a welfare check, and despite immediate lifesaving measures, he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is being investigated as a possible homicide by his cellmate, 47-year-old Peter Valencia. Both men were imprisoned for murder-related charges. The prison has limited movement to facilitate the investigation.
