Vibrant murals transform D.C. Metropolitan Branch Trail
A collection of 16 murals called "NoMa in Color" has been created along the Metropolitan Branch Trail in Northeast Washington, D.C. The murals, painted by local artists, brighten a concrete wall near Alethia Tanner Park and aim to establish a strong arts identity in the neighborhood. Each artist had creative freedom in their designs, with themes ranging from nature and mental health to urban pop and community representation. The arts celebration, which includes movie nights and live performances, continues through October 19.
