Assassin's Creed Shadows is now 25% off at $52.49, with a new update introducing a challenging Nightmare difficulty mode and a recruitable character named Rufino, along with various gameplay improvements. The sale is available until July 25 through the Ubisoft Store.
Ubisoft releases Update 1.0.6 for Assassin's Creed Shadows on PS5, adding a new questline in collaboration with Critical Role, a challenging nightmare difficulty mode, a headgear toggle for cutscenes, and various bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake 2 will receive "The Final Draft" update next week, featuring a New Game Plus mode with an alternative narrative and nightmare difficulty. The update includes a new ending, additional lore in the form of videos and manuscript pages, and bug fixes. Players will retain their weapons and upgrades from the first playthrough, but will need to find them in the game. The update will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Alan Wake 2, set to release on October 27, will feature a New Game+ mode after launch, allowing players to retain unlocked weapons and upgrades. The mode will also introduce a Nightmare difficulty level and an alternative narrative with new manuscript pages and video content. The exact release timing for New Game+ is yet to be determined.
