
Multiple Hospital Staff Stabbed in New Jersey Visitor Dispute
Two nurses and a medical student were stabbed inside the pediatric intensive care unit of Newark Beth Israel Hospital in New Jersey during a dispute between two visitors. The suspect, Firdousi Abdul-Hakim, allegedly attacked the hospital staff with a sharp cutting instrument after becoming irate when told there were too many visitors. The victims suffered minor lacerations and were treated at the hospital's emergency care unit. Abdul-Hakim has been charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. No patients or family members were injured during the incident. The Newark Police Department is investigating the incident.
