Xbox's Call of Duty Future Almost in Jeopardy
Xbox's corporate vice president, Sarah Bond, revealed during the court battle against the U.S.' Federal Trade Commission that the Call of Duty series was almost stopped from releasing on Xbox's new-gen consoles unless Xbox agreed to a certain revenue split deal. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick had refused to bring Call of Duty to Xbox Series X/S until Xbox agreed to a revenue split deal beyond the standard 70-30. Xbox eventually agreed to the deal, but it's not clear what revenue split was settled on.
