David Maisel Plans New Universe for Marvel Studios
David Maisel, the founding chairman of Marvel Studios, is planning a new universe called The Ekos Universe, which will include live-action, animation, and gaming. The universe will be inspired by the work of late artist Michael Turner and described as "Avatar meets Marvel." Maisel has hired a dozen staff and attracted millions from investors to build the universe, which will be produced by his company, Mythos Studios. The Ekos Universe will focus on the wonder and awe of this planet, and its unifying idea was dreamed up during the pandemic.
