"Joker 2: R-Rated Sequel Teased with Lady Gaga's Involvement"
The upcoming musical sequel to "Joker," titled "Joker: Folie à Deux," has been rated R for "some strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality and brief full nudity." Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, the film is set to be a jukebox musical with at least 15 reinterpretations of well-known songs. The original "Joker" movie grossed over $1 billion worldwide and earned 11 Oscar nominations, with Phoenix winning the best actor award. "Joker: Folie à Deux" is scheduled to be released on Oct. 4 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
