"Lost Caravaggio Masterpiece Unveiled at Madrid's El Prado"
The Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid is showcasing the recently rediscovered Caravaggio masterpiece "Ecce Homo" in a special exhibition from May 28 to October 13, 2024. The painting, dating from 1605-09 and once part of Phillip IV of Spain's collection, was authenticated and restored after reemerging at an auction in 2021. This exhibition is accompanied by a collaborative publication featuring essays from leading art experts.
