Edward Kelley, a participant in the January 6 Capitol riot, has been convicted of plotting to murder FBI agents who investigated his involvement in the attack. Kelley, an anti-abortion activist, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder, solicitation to commit violence, and threatening federal officials. The trial, held in Knoxville, Tennessee, revealed that Kelley and co-defendant Austin Carter planned to target FBI employees involved in his case. Kelley will be sentenced for the murder plot in May, following his sentencing for the Capitol riot in April.
A former gang leader, Duane "Keffe D" Davis, charged with orchestrating the killing of Tupac Shakur in 1996, has been granted bail of $750,000 and will serve house arrest with electronic monitoring ahead of his murder trial. Prosecutors argue that Davis poses a threat to witnesses and is a danger to the community, while his defense attorneys claim that he is in poor health and not a flight risk. Davis maintains his innocence and alleges that he was given immunity from prosecution in 2008.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was recently paroled after serving eight years for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, revealed in an interview with Good Morning America that she was addicted to painkillers at the time of the crime.
