'MSC Sky II' Container Ship Sails to Djibouti After Houthi Missile Attack
The container ship MSC Sky II was hit by a missile near Yemen's Aden port while en route to Djibouti, but no crew were injured and the small fire caused by the missile has been extinguished. The ship is continuing its journey for further assessment. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto attributed the attack to Yemeni Houthi forces, who have escalated their strikes since November, targeting commercial ships in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The shipping industry sources warn that all ships are at risk, despite the Houthis' stated intention to target vessels with links to the UK, US, and Israel.
