Artist Jeff Koons has sent 125 stainless steel sculptures of the moon on a SpaceX rocket to the moon, with the lunar lander also carrying NASA equipment. Inspired by his son, Koons's project involves NFMoon, 4Space, and Pace Gallery, and the sculptures are named after historical figures. If the lander reaches its destination, it would be the first authorized artwork on the moon, standing as a heritage site according to the Artemis Accords.
