Metacritic Responds to Homophobic Review Bombing of Horizon Forbidden West DLC

Metacritic plans to introduce stricter moderation policies after the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West was review bombed due to the confirmation of protagonist Aloy's sexuality. The company is currently working on evolving its tools and processes for moderation to combat abusive and disrespectful reviews. Review bombing has been an issue for other media, and many celebrated Metacritic's statement on Twitter. A third Horizon game is already in the works.

ADL Slams Fortnite and Call of Duty for Allowing Holocaust Denial.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has criticized Epic Games, Activision Blizzard/Call of Duty, and Riot Games/League of Legends for their lax stance on Holocaust denial. Epic Games received an F grade for lacking an explicit policy on Holocaust denial and failing to take action on reports made by average users. The ADL encouraged all social media and gaming platforms to explicitly ban Holocaust denial on a policy level and enforce such policies quickly, consistently, and at scale.
