Fatal Crashes Leave Two Dead and Several Injured in North Carolina.
Two women were killed in a head-on collision on US 64 in Caldwell County, North Carolina. The driver of a westbound Chevrolet Astro crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Oldsmobile Silhouette. The driver of the Astro, Deanna Ross, and the Silhouette driver, Reyna Mendoza, both died of their injuries. Four minors in Mendoza's car were injured and taken to various hospitals. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
