Milt Larsen, Co-Founder of Magic Castle, Passes Away at 92.
Milton Larsen, co-founder of the Magic Castle, a private club for magicians in Hollywood, passed away at the age of 92. Larsen, who spent decades in television as a gag writer, transformed a rundown mansion into an iconic club that attracted top magicians and celebrities. The club, which offered free membership to subscribers of the magic magazine Genii, now has over 6,000 members from 40 countries. After allegations of sexual harassment and racism, the nonprofit overhauled its board and was bought by video game mogul Randy Pitchford. Larsen's niece, Erika, is now the club's president.
