Air Force and Space Force Extend Enlistment Age to 42
The Air Force and Space Force have raised the age limit for new recruits to 42 years old in an effort to address a shortage of personnel. This change allows individuals between 17 and 42 to join as officers or enlisted and serve a full 20 years. However, certain positions such as pilots still have an age limit of 33. The Air Force has also relaxed recruitment standards in other areas, including allowing a "do-over" for applicants who test positive for THC during physical exams.
