Hershey Bears claim 12th Calder Cup in thrilling Game 7 overtime win over Coachella Valley.
The Hershey Bears won their 12th American Hockey League title, defeating the Coachella Valley Firebirds 3-2 in overtime in Game 7 of the Calder Cup final. Michael Vecchione scored the game-winning goal at 16:19 of overtime. Hershey coach Todd Nelson won his second Calder Cup, becoming one of three head coaches to win the championship with two teams. The Firebirds were the first team to reach the final in their first season since 2010.
