Bulls' Lonzo Ball Returns After Rare Meniscus Transplant
Lonzo Ball revealed he underwent a rare meniscus transplant procedure on his left knee in March 2023, in addition to a cartilage transplant, after multiple injuries left him with severe damage. Despite his ongoing recovery, Ball picked up his $21.4 million player option for the next season, which complicates the Bulls' salary cap situation. Ball is optimistic about returning to play by the start of the next season, estimating his knee is about 70% recovered.
