McDonald's Faces Espresso Machine Woes, Halts Coffee Sales
McDonald's has temporarily stopped serving espresso drinks at some US locations due to safety concerns with Melitta-manufactured espresso machines. The issue, which is under investigation, affects cities like Atlanta, Dallas, and New York. This comes as McDonald's faces challenges, including a recent E. coli outbreak and a drop in sales, while coffee remains a significant part of its business. The company is also piloting a specialty chain, CosMc's, to expand its coffee offerings.
