"Revamped Mazda MX-5 Miata: A Contemporary Lancia Makeover"
A Lancia enthusiast commissioned McHugh's Automotive Group to transform a '78 Lancia Scorpion into a modern-day Lancia sports car. Due to the poor condition of the original car, the final product is heavily based on a Mazda Miata MX-5, featuring bespoke body panels and a Mazda/FCA subframe. Despite its modern styling, the vehicle is registered as a 1978 Scorpion and retains the original VIN. It is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and features custom exhaust, upgraded brakes, and a six-speed manual transmission. The design takes inspiration from the Lancia 037 and incorporates elements from various other cars. The interior also received Lancia-themed modifications.
