Russian Singer Jailed for Infamous Sock-on-Penis Stunt
Maxim Tesli, front man of the band Shchenki (The Puppies), was sentenced to 10 days in prison for disorderly conduct after a sock he had been wearing over his penis fell off during a public nudity stunt on stage in St Petersburg, Russia. This comes shortly after another Russian rapper, Vacio, was jailed for a similar act at a Moscow celebrity party, sparking a national scandal and backlash amid Russia's conservative social agenda and ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
