Honoring what would have been Jim Marshall's 100th birthday, the Studio JTM recreates the sound and feel of the original amp while offering modern features such as power reduction technology, an FX loop, and a DI jack. The 20W head and combo versions are priced at $1,749.99 and $1,949.99 respectively, with matching 1x12 and 2x12 cabs available.

Zound Industries acquires iconic UK amp manufacturer Marshall.

Zound Industries, the Swedish company that previously licensed the Marshall brand for its headphones and speakers, is acquiring Marshall Amplification, the iconic guitar amp manufacturer. The resulting company will be the privately owned Marshall Group, with the Marshall family serving as its largest shareholder. The CEO of Zound Industries says the deal is as much about acquiring Marshall’s engineering expertise as it is about acquiring the brand name. The acquisition includes all of Marshall Amplification’s brands and subsidiaries, and the CEO expects no immediate changes for either company.
