Apple is developing a new low-cost MacBook powered by the A18 Pro chip, which is the first Mac to use an iPhone chip, expected to launch in the first half of 2026, with evidence first spotted in backend code by MacRumors.
Leaks about iOS 18 suggest two new accessibility-related features: "Adaptive Voice Shortcuts" that allow users to launch accessibility settings with their voice, and a new "Categories" section for organizing frequently used phrases in the Live Speech feature. Additionally, macOS 15 may expand text-size adjustability support to five more apps. These features are still under development and subject to change before the official announcement at WWDC 2024.
Apple's iOS 18 update for iPhone is set to be the biggest yet, with the incorporation of AI on a kernel level and the development of new Accessibility features, including Adaptive Voice Shortcut, New Live Speech Categories, and Custom Font for Additional Apps. These changes aim to make settings more accessible to users, and Apple is also working on additional features expected to be showcased at its WWDC 2024 event in June.
MacRumors has released mockups of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro, suggesting that the new model will retain a similar design to the iPhone 15 Pro but will feature larger screens and introduce a new capacitive button specifically for video recording.
