Rediscovered Caravaggio Unveiled at Madrid's El Prado
A lost Caravaggio painting, "Ecce Homo," which was nearly sold at auction for just $1,600, has been authenticated, restored, and is now on display at the Prado Museum in Madrid. The painting, depicting Jesus with a crown of thorns, was misattributed and only recognized for its true value after experts intervened. It will be exhibited until October 13.
