China's top memory chip maker, YMTC, is making progress in producing advanced 3D NAND chips using locally sourced equipment. The company's top-secret project has placed big orders with domestic tool suppliers, including Beijing-based Naura Technology, after receiving fresh funding of $7 billion from state-backed investors.
