Jony Ive's Revolutionary $60K Turntable Redefines Vinyl Listening
Former Apple design chief Jony Ive has collaborated with audio brand Linn to update the iconic Sondek LP12 turntable for its 50th anniversary. Ive's studio, LoveFrom, made subtle refinements to the design, including a circular and flat primary switch and a more tactile appearance. The dust cover, hinges, and badge were also tweaked, while Linn's engineers developed a new plinth manufacturing approach. The limited edition LP12-50 will be available in wood or white finishes and is praised for its improved vinyl playback performance.
