The 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, a 74-foot Norway spruce, was donated by the Albert family from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Planted in 1967 by Earl and Leslie Albert, the tree holds sentimental value, especially after Leslie's recent passing. The donation is seen as a tribute to Leslie and a new beginning for the family. The tree will be adorned with over 50,000 LED lights and a Swarovski star, with the lighting ceremony scheduled for December 4. The Alberts plan to honor Leslie with a memorial where the tree once stood.
