Over 150 names associated with a settled lawsuit involving Jeffrey Epstein are set to be unsealed by a federal court in New York. The documents may reveal known associates and alleged victims, but the identities of minor victims will remain sealed. This follows a history of misconduct and negligence at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, which allowed Epstein to take his own life in 2019. The unsealing is part of a defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, which was settled out of court in 2017. Maxwell was convicted on federal sex trafficking charges and is currently appealing her 20-year sentence.
