Fatal Hit-and-Run: College Student Left to Die on Road, Driver Faces Charges
A college student, Mia Kanu, died after falling out of her friend's car in Southfield, Michigan. Kanu, who was in the backseat, opened the door, possibly to vomit, and fell onto the road. The driver, Kentia Fearn, continued driving despite knowing her friend had fallen out. Fearn has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and operating under the influence. Kanu's injuries were caused by the fall, and there was no physical assault. Kanu's family is praying for justice and hopes Fearn will learn from her actions.
