LaGuardia Miracle: Flight Attendant Survives Ejection After Plane-Crash Collision
A Jazz Aviation CRJ-900 collided with a fire truck at New York’s LaGuardia during landing, killing the pilot and co-pilot; flight attendant Solange Tremblay survived after being ejected more than 100 metres from the aircraft while strapped to her seat and later underwent surgery for a broken leg. Nine people were hospitalized. Tremblay had 26 years with Jazz, and the incident drew condolences from airline leadership and Canada’s prime minister, with cockpit and ATC audio released in reports.
