An "extremely aggressive" wildfire in eastern Canada has burned over 24,000 acres, forcing around 9,500 people to evacuate Labrador City and leading to the closure of a local hospital. The fire, which rapidly expanded by 22,000 acres in just four hours, is now just three miles from the city. Residents have been directed to evacuate to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and an evacuation alert has been issued for the nearby community of Wabush.
