A thief targeted multiple collectible stores in Southern California, breaking into two stores in La Verne and San Gabriel and possibly scouting a third in San Dimas, stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, including vintage sports cards and Pokémon products, prompting law enforcement investigation.
A group of suspects crashed a car into a La Verne jewelry store, shattering the front glass windows, and proceeded to steal approximately $300,000 worth of merchandise. The robbers used a chair to attack the store's owner, who sustained injuries but is expected to recover. Police suspect a connection between this incident and a similar smash-and-grab robbery that occurred nearby a few days earlier. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the La Verne Police Department.
