Cher Faces Kidnapping Allegations in Divorce Drama
Cher's daughter-in-law, Marieangela King, has accused the singer of orchestrating a kidnapping plot involving her estranged husband, Elijah Blue Allman. In court documents, King claimed that Cher arranged for Allman to be taken from their New York hotel room on their wedding anniversary in November 2022. Allman had filed for divorce in November 2021. King also alleged that Cher asked her to leave their family home and that she has faced difficulties in accessing their assets during the divorce proceedings. The trial setting conference for the divorce has been postponed to October 27. Cher's representative has not yet commented on the allegations.
