Two Students Killed as School Bus Collision Shocks Carroll County
A Kenwood Middle School bus carrying around two dozen students and staff returning from a Jackson field trip collided with a TDOT dump truck and a Trailblazer in Carroll County, killing two students at the scene and injuring several others. About 25 students and five adults were on the bus; seven helicopters and multiple ambulances evacuated victims to hospitals in Memphis, Nashville, and nearby facilities. The TDOT truck does not appear to be at fault, and authorities are continuing the investigation. The driver and some students were reported in critical or serious condition at various times as updates followed.
