Global Investigation Leads to Arrests in Child Sex Abuse Network Following Murder of FBI Agents
A joint operation between the FBI and Australian Federal Police has resulted in the arrest of 98 individuals connected to child sex abuse, with 13 children rescued. The operation, which began after the murder of two FBI agents investigating an alleged international pedophile ring, led to 79 arrests, 65 indictments, and 43 convictions in the US, as well as 19 arrests in Australia. The alleged offenders operated a sophisticated peer-to-peer network, using advanced IT skills and encryption to avoid detection. The investigation is ongoing, with the possibility of further arrests.
