Woman charged for causing flight diversion to KCI.
A woman has been charged with interfering with a flight attendant after she caused a disturbance that forced a flight to be diverted to Kansas City International Airport. The woman became abusive towards a flight attendant and threatened to kill him, and was eventually restrained with zip ties. The pilot decided to divert the flight to Kansas City out of concern for the safety of the passengers. Prosecutors have asked for the woman to be detained pending a detention hearing.
