Amber Alert success: Missing Florida boy found safe in Polk County
The Amber Alert for 12-year-old Leon Scarborough, who was kidnapped from St. Lucie County, Florida, has been canceled after he was found safe. The child was believed to have been abducted by his father, Tracey Scarborough, who was arrested for interference of child custody. Leon had been in the custody of his paternal grandparents since December 2022, and his mother was granted supervised visitation. The St. Lucie County Sheriff expressed relief and gratitude to the community and law enforcement partners for their assistance in resolving the situation.
