Murder suspect's self-incrimination leads to arrest at police station
A murder suspect in a 1993 cold case was caught making incriminating comments when detectives left the room during a 2015 interrogation. Loril Harp was seen talking to himself and chatting on the phone, saying things like "I'm not under arrest, but I probably will be before I leave here." Detectives picked up the case in 2020 and reviewed the footage, which helped them bring Harp back for questioning. During the interview, Harp made further incriminating remarks, leading to his arrest in 2020. He was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action but died a year later from an undisclosed illness.
