Colorado Couple Arrested for Improperly Storing 190 Bodies at Funeral Home
A Colorado couple, Jon and Carie Hallford, who owned the Return to Nature Funeral Home, were arrested in Oklahoma on suspicion of committing abuse of a corpse, theft, money laundering, and forgery. Last month, investigators discovered at least 190 bodies that had been improperly stored at the funeral home, which offered green burial services. The bodies were found in a decaying state, leading to a hazardous scene. The couple's first appearance in court will be determined during the extradition process, and their bond has been set at $2 million.
