"Fatal Punch: Brooklyn Tow Truck Driver Charged with Assault Over Car Impound"
A Brooklyn tow truck driver has been charged with assault for fatally punching a 61-year-old man, Carlyle Thomas, during an argument over impounding his car at a gas station. The victim's family claimed the confrontation stemmed from a $10 parking fee, and the driver, Kevon Johnson, has no prior criminal history. Thomas, a former jockey, died after being punched and hitting his head on the pavement. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office will decide if further charges should be added.
