"Partial Collapse at Historic Alleva Dairy Building in Little Italy, NYC"
The historic building in lower Manhattan that once housed the famous cheese shop Alleva Dairy partially collapsed during an illegal renovation, with bricks falling from one side and leaving a hole in the four-story structure. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the building was found to be undergoing unpermitted renovation work. The cheese shop had moved to New Jersey last year, and the owner expressed relief that no one was hurt in the collapse.
