Buffa's Bar and Restaurant Saved by Community Support, Closure Averted
Buffa's Lounge, an iconic bar and music venue in New Orleans, was set to close its doors, but thanks to an outpouring of support from the community, it will remain open for at least one more week. The bar has been struggling financially due to increased expenses and a decline in customers. However, a surge of patrons over the weekend, inspired by the news of its impending closure, provided a much-needed cash infusion. Local musicians have volunteered to perform for free to help keep the establishment afloat. The owner is hopeful that the support will continue and allow Buffa's to stay in business.
