"Long-Term Test: DT Swiss 240 DEG Hubs After 6 Months"

DT Swiss introduces the Ratchet DEG hub, featuring a 4° engagement angle and a burly construction aimed at increased serviceability. The hubs incur a 90g weight penalty compared to the equivalent EXP hub due to larger ratchet rings and a larger hub shell. The DEG system is currently available in 240 hubs, offering a middle ground in cost, weight, and finishing touches. The hubs are not specifically recommended for e-bikes, with DT Swiss suggesting their reinforced Hybrid hubs for eMTB usage. The limited release of candy red 240 DEGs adds an exclusive option for buyers. After 6 months of use, the DEG hubs have shown improved engagement, secure-feeling ratchet drive, and durability, making them a worthy addition to the DT Swiss lineup.

Airlines are already heavily regulated, and the solution to robust air service in small communities is to grow the supply and encourage new air service concepts. Going back to the regulated era would not improve air travel in the United States.
